To be eligible for the State Pension your eligibility is based on your National Insurance record which means you need at least 10 qualifying years to be eligible.
Extension to the Age for Work Test
From 1 July 2019, superannuation fund members aged 65 to 74 are exempt from the work test in the financial year following the year they retire, provided their total superannuation balance at the prior 30 June is less than $300,000.
